“I appreciate how quickly Jake is able to identify (and call me out) for projecting a personal bias upon others that don’t deserve that.”

“Jake helps me put the puzzle together. His words of wisdom always leave me with new understanding!”

“Jake was able to help me better identify where my hang-ups are and how I might go about digging deeper and ultimately mitigating them.”

New Manager Training Program

In our work with over 100 managers, directors, and VPs at some of America’s largest corporations, we’ve noticed that the predominant barriers to success and growth in people management are:

  • Avoiding having necessary conversations and embracing conflict

  • Ineffective boundary setting and lack of time for deep work or purposeful reflection

  • Focus on transactional results vs. relational investments

This group workshop series teaches the MASCD Management Method to help new managers develop the fundamental skills needed to excel as a people leader:

  • Making time to reflect and zoom out

  • Asking for (and giving) regular feedback

  • Setting expectations and boundaries

  • Communicating effectively and often

  • Delegating responsibilities and learning opportunities

The program can be taught in selected modules (one or more) or as a six-month cohort-style training program with three optional triad coaching sessions.

Leadership Training Program
(co-led with Third Nature)

Until recently, the best leaders were the ones who had the best answers. In our fast-paced, emergent present where answers aren’t always known, the best leaders will be the ones who ask the best questions to unlock the collective wisdom of those who follow them.

This interactive group learning experience, led by expert facilitators Jake Fishbein and Brian Helfman, teaches participants the five pillars of Third Nature Leadership with a focus on how to unlock the collective wisdom of your teams. It’s perfect for new or experienced managers and leaders who want to level up their capabilities.

Participants will actively engage in exercises which will help them:

  • Expand their mindfulness toolbox to become more intentional, grounded leaders

  • Develop a deeper understanding of how to create a team that is inclusive and helps each team member feel like they genuinely belong

  • Cultivate the knowledge and tools necessary to unlock the collective wisdom of their team members, cross-functional partners, and key stakeholders

  • Gain clarity around their unique leadership style so they can lead their teams in a way no one else can

Building a Better Workplace:

Breaking Down Barries to Increase Gender Equity
(co-led with Your Career Success)

Women’s networks have long promoted the need for greater gender equity and inclusion in the workplace, not just for the benefit of women, but for the benefit of all. However, these conversations often lack a critical perspective – that of men. To achieve the true vision of diversity, equity and inclusion, we must join forces to better understand each other’s experiences and challenges in ways that allow for mutual trust, collaboration, and support.

In this interactive series, executive coaches Jake Fishbein and Kim Meninger co-facilitate a safe, respectful, gender-inclusive conversation to break down gender barriers, increase psychological safety and create greater opportunities for gender equity.

Session Breakdown

Session One: Building Psychological Safety
The experience of psychological safety is fundamental to our success at work, but we don’t often discuss what psychological safety means to us. In this session, we explore what makes us feel safe and unsafe in the workplace and examine the similarities and differences across genders. This empowers us to identify actionable steps we can all take to strengthen psychological safety across the organization.

Session Two: Creating Awareness
Building on the discussion of psychological safety, in this session, we create awareness of differences in how we experience the workplace. The meeting includes opportunities to share what we wish other genders knew about our experiences, so that we can break down barriers, build empathy and deepen connections. This awareness also creates more meaningful opportunity for allyship.

Session Three: Shifting into Action
In this session, we collectively examine what we’ve learned about ourselves and each other. These reflections guide us toward identifying opportunities for actionable next steps. We also encourage participants to share commitments they will make to better support colleagues in the future.

  • “Kim and Jake were amazing... I really enjoyed the breakout sessions too! I was nervous to be paired up with a man, but I found out exactly what was communicated in the session - that they have the same feelings as the women do!”

“I liked that it forced me to get out of my comfort zone and highlighted that we have more that unites us than divides us.”

“I found today's event very beneficial & thought-provoking. I hope these types of events continue and I look forward to participating in the next one!”

“This session provided an opportunity to show that we are all in the same boat working together and dealing with similar concerns as it relates to feeling safe, unsafe and supported.”

“Absolutely loved this workshop. The themes coming from the conversations and breakout rooms really showed that regardless of gender or gender identity we are looking for the same things when working in the workplace -- being seen, included, safe to try and fail, autonomy to do your job, etc. Just shows we need to work on being allies to everybody.”

“I think this training should be provided more often, or even quarterly. I connected with people that were new to me, and it felt great to be present in support. One person helped me come up with an action plan to be more open and inclusive.”
